III. Decline in Machining Accuracy

Problem: Machining accuracy may gradually decrease over time.

Solutions:

1. Perform regular geometric calibration according to manufacturer recommendations.

2. Maintain lubrication of guide rails and ball screws, clean dust and debris, and repair or replace components as needed.

3. Update control system software or firmware to benefit from improved compensation algorithms and enhance positioning accuracy.

IV. Cooling System Failure

Problem: Insufficient cooling can shorten tool life and increase the surface roughness of the workpiece.

Solutions:

1. Inspect pump operation to confirm the coolant pump is running properly and pressure meets requirements.

2. Clean or replace coolant filters regularly to prevent blockages that reduce flow rate.

3. Replenish or replace coolant as necessary to restore cooling effectiveness.
